GENESIS DAS

Robust, Flexible In-Building Wireless Technology.

Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) is a proven technology, reliably delivering increased wireless coverage and capacity in stadiums, subways, airports, tunnels places where the macro network falls short. Everyday around the world, millions of cellular users connect to a SOLiD DAS. Unfortunately for most, their connected experience ends once they enter a building. For the billions of square feet of commercial real estate, the complexity and economics of traditional DAS is a deal breaker.

Commercial buildings are rapidly deploying new smart building technology. Property technology or Prop Tech is a trend that enables buildings to operate more efficiently, and create high value, customizable tenant and occupant experiences.

SOLiD GENESIS DAS is a robust property technology plug-in that solves a property’s cellular problems. Using the same prop tech infrastructure GENESIS delivers private LTE wireless network connectivity for IoT and prop tech communications and multi-operator cellular service for the property’s staff, tenants and visitors.

Flexible, Scalable Architecture

SOLiD’s GENESIS DAS uses standards-based structured cabling for communications and power distribution. CAT6A and fiber infrastructure delivers both superior performance and a significant economic advantage over traditional ½ inch coax cable.

This means our robust architecture makes efficient use of your infrastructure investment by leveraging your building’s existing plant. GENESIS DAS is both scalable and flexible to meet the requirements of any building or venue.

Less Power More Options.

SOLiD has always led the industry with the broadest portfolio of remote amplifiers. The GENESIS solution continues the tradition by offering a low-power remote node ( less than 1W) that pushes the use of CAT6A infrastructure, beyond the riser, beyond the closet, to the edge. CAT6A connectivity to the LRN eliminates coax and the challenges material bulk and installer specialization, RF power distribution, testing and PIM! Replace coax with CAT6A and installation gets easier, faster, more secure, better performance.

GENESIS LRN and its flexible, scalable infrastructure blurs traditional DAS thinking. Installations and management of the wireless network are enterprise scoped and more “WiFi-like” than DAS. However, it still performs like a DAS. The GENESIS LRN supports up to four frequency bands per enclosure can be installed practically anywhere are easily added or relocated to meet building and tenant improvements. With power software tools, robust SOLiD engineering and construction a GENESIS DAS is a perfect plug-in to your buildings tech strategy.

GENESIS UPOI

GENESIS Universal Point of Interface

GENESIS Universal Point of Interface The UPOI is an optional, passive signal attenuator providing up to -20dB of attenuation. The UPOI is used in the unlikely but plausible cases where the incoming signal exceeds the input threshold of the DAU. It’s a cost effective, small footprint option that saves rack space and engineering efforts.

Consider these important GENESIS UPOI features:

  • Passive, low PIM attenuator
  • Wideband, module supports 600-3800 MHz
  • Number of ports matches the number of ports in the DAU

GENESIS DAU

GENESIS Distributed & Aggregation Unit

The DAU is the heart of the GENESIS headend, interfacing with the signal source it distributes signals to the distributed LRNs and HRNs. Each DAU supports up to 512 LRNs (or 64 HRNs) across multiple 8 sectors.

Consider these important GENESIS DAU features:

  • Interfaces with 1 to 24 signal source inputs using wide-band modules
  • Distributes signals to any combination of eight HOUs and/or LRNs supporting a maximum of 512 LRNs
  • Supports two expansion DAUs, local or remote, for more sectors
  • Commissioning and management through embedded intuitive user interface with complete remote access and functionality

GENESIS DRFU

GENESIS Distribution RF Unit

The DRFU is the module level component of the DAU. It’s a flexible signal source interface available in the specific frequency ranges.

Consider these important GENESIS HCU features:

  • Interfaces with four signal sources, simplex or duplex inputs
  • Each input port independent from other ports
  • Input ports support any combination of signals within the frequency range of the DRFU
  • 800/900/1800/2100/2600F

GENESIS HCU

GENESIS Hub Copper Unit

The HCU distributes data to the LRN via Cat6A cable. Each HCU supports 8 LRNs. The HCU also provides electric power to the LRN via PoE function. The HCU can support one additional HCU for a total of 8 HCUs per DAU branch.

Consider these important GENESIS HCU features:

  • Support 8 LRNs with PoE
  • Star or Daisy chaining of HCU (Up to 8 HCUs can be daisy chained)
  • Long-haul fiber optic link (up to 20km)

GENESIS LRN

GENESIS Low-Power Radio Node

Taking Cat6A cable and integrated antenna, the LRN enables a structured cabling infrastructure and enterprise friendly installation effort. Small size, flexibility and low infrastructure impact, the LRN is key to providing private LTE and cellular connectivity to the MIDDLEPRISE and beyond.

Consider these important GENESIS DCU features:

  • With a modular design, any combination of frequency bands can be supported
  • Quad band SISO
  • Dual band 2×2 MIMO
  • Single band 4×4 MIMO
  • Output power is 20dBm per band
  • Single LRN supports up to 4 bands
  • 10Gbps over a CAT6A cable with PoE feature
  • Integrated and external ports available
  • Wall or ceiling mounting option
  • 256 QAM supported

GENESIS HRN

GENESIS High-Power Radio Node

The HRN is for both outdoor and indoor areas and supports up to four bands in a single enclosure. Eight HRNs can be daisy chain wired with digital link to support eight bands using expansion HRN.

Consider these important GENESIS EPSU features:

  • Optical interface
  • Support eight bands using expansion HRN over a fiber cable
  • Output power is above 43dBm per band (Low frequency band is 43dBm and High frequency band is 46dBm considering free-space attenuation)
  • Modular type
  • Integrated multiplexer to combine all bands into one antenna
  • Daisy chain wired up to 8 HRNs within 20km distance
  • Wall or pole mounting option
  • 256 QAM support

GENESIS DAS DMS 3000

GENESIS DAS Management System (DMS3000)
