SOLiD, in partnership with Freshwave, is very excited to have worked to provide seamless mobile connectivity from all UK mobile operators to One Nine Elms, a luxury residential-led development in London. This project has delivered reliable connectivity to all aspects of this iconic development from the basement to the penthouses and everywhere in between. Properties like this luxury, two-tower construction provide unique challenges when it comes to wireless, digital connectivity. Not only does the solution need to be highly effective but it also needs to blend seamlessly with the aesthetics of the building design
One Nine Elms consists of two towers, linked by a glazed bridge. River Park Tower is 57 storeys with 391 modern apartments. The 42-storey Park Hyatt London River Thames Residences houses 103 branded residences, managed by the UK’s first Park Hyatt Hotel.
The network that has been deployed provides premium voice and high-speed data to everyone in the buildings. This DAS system provides 4G connectivity from the outset and includes an upgrade path to 5G and beyond. This project was designed using our High-Power remotes. This enabled multiple antennas to be connected to our remotes with low profile antennas to minimise visual impact.
This DAS solution ensures reliable connectivity from all UK mobile operators. This extends throughout the 5-star Park Hyatt Hotel, covering the public areas, guest rooms and the hotel’s back of house and operations spaces. In total, the solution brings robust mobile connectivity to almost 1 million sq ft at this development.
Extensive and reliable connectivity is the new standard for luxury locations such as One Nine Elms. The network is the foundation that brings a range of digitally enabled services to residents, staff and visitors to the site. It is also a launch pad for a range of new and exciting services in the future. Taking advantage of these new services is only possible if the solution can provide reliable and complete coverage. This is why this network extends from basement levels, through the hotel rooms and apartments and even in the majority of the lifts that service the two towers (a first for a residential development in the UK).
With such a luxury development, it was key that the visual aesthetics were maintained when deploying the mobile connectivity platform. This includes communal spaces such as gyms, ballrooms and meeting rooms. The resulting solution therefore had to balance both robust connectivity with high-end design.
