Scoring a Digital First at the PGE Narodowy stadium
Remer, a company of Cellnex, in collaboration with SOLiD, has successfully deployed a multi-operator active Distributed Antenna System (DAS) at the iconic PGE Narodowy stadium. Utilising the next-generation SOLiD nGENESIS platform, the project provides world-class 5G and 4G coverage, ensuring a premier digital experience for up to 58,000 seated fans and up to 80,000 at concerts.
The Challenge: High-Capacity Connectivity in a Multi-Operator Market
Stadiums are perhaps the most demanding environments for wireless engineering. With tens of thousands of fans attempting to share high-definition video, access social media, and use club apps simultaneously, the macro network outside the stadium quickly becomes overwhelmed.
For the PGE Narodowy stadium project, the requirements were particularly stringent:
● Neutral Host Approach:The system had to support all four of Poland’s major Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) to ensure no fan was left without service.
● Complex Zoning: Coverage was required across the intense bowl and pitch areas, as well as the high-service VIP zones.
● Future-Ready Tech: Full support for the 5G n78 (3.5 GHz) band was essential to meet the growing demand for ultra-fast data.
The Solution: A Premier Polish Debut for nGENESIS
As the first nGENESIS implementation in Poland, this project showcased SOLiD’s ability to handle massive capacity within a compact, efficient infrastructure. Working alongside Remer, a company of Cellnex, who managed the project as a Neutral Host, SOLiD provided a high-density sectorised solution:
The deployment highlights include:
● Massive Sectorisation: The stadium is divided into 36 sectors to manage capacity. This includes 28 dedicated sectors for the pitch and spectator bowl, and 8 shared sectors with the VIP areas.
● Precision Hardware: The deployment features 44 nMRN medium-power units and 32 nLRN_OCT low-power units. The nLRN units include integrated antennas, allowing for a discrete installation that preserves the stadium’s aesthetic.
● Full MIMO Performance: To maximise data throughput, the entire system operates with 2x2 MIMO across all cellular bands, providing the stability and speed required for a high-density venue.
“ This represents a significant milestone as the first SOLiD nGENESIS project in Poland and the country’s first multi-operator active DAS stadium implementation. By supporting all four MNOs and the high-capacity 5G n78 band, we have created a blueprint for modern sporting venues.
It was a privilege to work alongside Remer, a company of Cellnex, to deliver a system that ensures every fan, regardless of their network, stays connected during the match.”

The Impact: A New Standard for Fan Engagement
The partnership between SOLiD and Remer, a company of Cellnex, has transformed the PGE Narodowy stadium into one of the most technologically advanced sports venues in Central and Eastern Europe.
By choosing a Neutral Host model powered by SOLiD, the stadium has future-proofed its connectivity. Fans can now enjoy seamless 5G speeds regardless of their mobile provider, while the club can explore new digital revenue streams, from in-seat ordering to real-time match statistics and augmented reality experiences. The system was given its first successful test at the Polish National Team’s match against Albania.
SOLiD, alongside Remer, a company of Cellnex, has successfully established a new precedent in Poland, proving that even the most high-density venues can deliver a flawless digital performance.
“As a neutral operator and an innovator in the DAS area, we’re not afraid to adopt new solutions when they truly make sense and meet our customers’ needs. That’s why at PGE Narodowy we focused on active DAS, leveraging the latest technologies available on the market and delivering the project end-to-end — from the initial concept and partner negotiations, through technical design, to deployment and full integration with all four mobile operators in Poland. This is another example of how Remer, a company of Cellnex, delivers even the most demanding installations — regardless of scale or complexity. ”
- Marcin Augustyniak, Director of REMER, a company of Cellnex
